In a remarkable milestone that reinforces its leadership in global trade, Beko Egypt, one of Egypt’s leading home appliance brands, has been awarded the “Top Global Exporter with Breakthrough Growth” at the fourth edition of the EXXA 2025 Export Excellence Awards, the event was hosted by the Engineering Export Council of Egypt, under the auspices of the Egyptian Cabinet and the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Investment.
This prestigious accolade not only highlights Beko’s growing influence in international markets but also recognizes its unwavering commitment to sustainable, innovative, and responsible manufacturing. At the heart of this commitment lies Beko’s guiding vision “Respecting the World, Respected Worldwide.” Far beyond a slogan, this philosophy serves as the foundation of Beko’s operational model, product development strategy, and global expansion efforts.

The EXXA 2025 Award was held to celebrate and promote innovation and excellence in export performance across Egypt’s engineering industries. While several companies were acknowledged for their achievements, Beko’s win stood out as a testament to its consistent performance and long-term export growth, more specifically, a key driver is Beko Egypt’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in 10th of Ramadan City, which plays a dual role in meeting domestic demand and powering export expansion. With an annual production capacity of 1.5 million units—including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, and dishwashers— the facility represents a cornerstone of Beko’s regional and global growth ambitions.
Moreover, Beko’s future outlook reflects even greater momentum. The company plans to export 60% of its production volume to strategic markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, generating an expected $250 million in annual export revenues.
In addition to its export strategy, Beko is deeply invested in Egypt’s local industrial ecosystem. The factory currently sources 50% of its materials from local suppliers, a move that not only strengthens the domestic supply chain but also elevates the competitiveness of Egyptian component manufacturers on a global level.
Further amplifying, the industrial park will not only produce beko branded products but will also manufacture appliances for the other brands in Beko portfolio; Whirlpool, Ariston, Indesit, and Hitachi. This expansion will diversify Beko’s product offerings and strengthen its market presence, positioning the company as a versatile leader in the home appliance industry.
Commenting on the award, Ümit Günel, General Manager of Beko Egypt and Regional Director for North Africa, said: “We are proud to receive this recognition, which marks a significant milestone in our journey of sustainable export growth. It highlights our strategic direction to expand regionally and globally with a strong focus on innovation, energy efficiency, and social responsibility.”
He added: “At Beko Egypt, we are committed to supporting the Egyptian economy and reinforcing the country’s role as a regional industrial hub. We reached over 30 countries in our very first year of operation. Through our substantial investments and relentless pursuit of excellence, we aim to further accelerate Egypt’s industrial advancement, enhance local manufacturing capabilities, and drive shared growth and innovation.”
This award marks yet another achievement in Beko’s growing list of accolades. Previous honors include the Athar Award for Excellence in Sustainability and Social Responsibility, as well as the title of “Most Sustainable Manufacturer in Egypt 2025” by the globally renowned World Economic Magazine. Together, these recognitions highlight Beko’s enduring dedication to inclusive, responsible, and future-focused development across every facet of its business.
