The E-Commerce Tax Unit of the Egyptian Tax Authority participated in Techne Summit 2025 in Alexandria, where it led an interactive workshop titled “Tax Compliance for Startups and Entrepreneurs.”
This participation came in line with the directives of Minister of Finance Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk and Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority Dr. Rasha Abdel Aal, emphasizing the importance of spreading tax awareness among e-commerce practitioners, entrepreneurs, content creators, fintech companies, microfinance institutions, and small, medium, and micro enterprises.
During the summit, the Unit’s awareness team engaged directly with startup founders, entrepreneurs, and representatives of local and international companies across various exhibition zones. The team visited booths and workspaces to learn about their business models and to share insights on the new tax facilitations introduced under Law No. 6 of 2025, designed to support emerging projects and enhance voluntary compliance.
The workshop and field activities focused on:
Explaining simplified tax schemes and incentives for startups and small businesses.
Helping entrepreneurs identify the most suitable tax system for their operations.
Strengthening dialogue and trust between the Tax Authority and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through its continued outreach, the E-Commerce Tax Unit reaffirms its commitment to building a transparent and inclusive tax environment that empowers the digital economy, supports innovation, and facilitates sustainable growth across all business sectors.
