Strategic Cooperation between EGYPTAIR and Huawei to Boost Travel Benefits and Digital Transformation for Economic Growth

EGYPTAIR, the national carrier of Egypt, and Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT), have signed a Business Travel Agreement on EGYPTAIR network in addition to a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the aim of boosting the companies’ commitment to Egypt’s economic development. The agreements establish EGYPTAIR as the airline partner for Huawei employees and lay the foundation for collaboration in Egypt’s digital transformation.
As part of the ceremony held at EGYPTAIR’s headquarters in Cairo, Captain Ahmad Adel, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Company, stated “The partnership with Huawei represents a significant strategic leap that will add true value to EGYPTAIR.” Captain Adel clarified that this cooperation enables EGYPTAIR to benefit from the latest technological solutions and smart communications provided by Huawei and supports EGYPTAIR’s digital transformation plans. This will be reflected in enhancing the efficiency of operation, development of the technical infrastructure in addition to enhancing customer experience throughout the various checkpoints of travel. Captain Adel added that mixing EGYPTAIR longstanding experience in the field of aviation with Huawei’s leading digital innovations will open new horizons for expansion in the international markets in addition to attracting various customer segments and upgrading the digital services and providing more flexible solutions to the passengers.
Captain Mohamed Elian, EGYPTAIR AIRLINES Chairman and CEO stated in his word addressed as part of the celebration, “Today marks the beginning of a truly global collaboration. Through this agreement, we are combining the strength of the worldwide network of EGYPTAIR with Huawei’s innovation in telecommunications and technology.” Captain Elian added “This Business Travel Agreement ensures that Huawei’s employees and guests can access exclusive services on our extensive route network, with seamless support provided through our dedicated and professional teams to over 80 destinations worldwide. This agreement coincides with EGYPTAIR anticipated fleet modernization and network expansion plans reaching new horizons across the world.

On the other hand, Engineer Yasser Omran, EGYPTAIR HOLDING VP Information Technology alongside with Mr. Dou Yong – Huawei Egypt Senior Vice President- signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of boosting cooperation in the field of digital transformation. EGYPTAIR will be able to benefit from Huawei’s digital solutions and AI solutions to enhance the operational performance, upgrade the quality of services offered to the passengers and developing the airline’s digital infrastructure leading to the enhancement of the digital transformation in Egypt’s aviation sector.
