This isn’t just any artificial sound. The Charger EV comes equipped with the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, a custom system mounted in the rear lower fascia, paired with a dedicated amplifier capable of producing up to 600 watts of power. Unlike typical EV noises, this exhaust system is deeply integrated with the car’s performance.

It adjusts sound and volume based on inputs like acceleration, deceleration, and even when the car turns on or off. You can rev the Charger EV just like an ICE car, and it will even produce a distinct noise when you activate the “PowerShot” function, which adds 40 horsepower for up to 15 seconds.

Both models are the first Stellantis-made vehicles to utilize the new ‘STLA Large’ chassis, featuring dual 250kW electric driving modules—one at each end, housing separate inverters, gearboxes, and motors for optimized packaging and performance.

The $4,995 Plus Group adds upgraded interior trim, a 360-degree camera system, a power rear liftgate, and for the R/T, 20-inch wheels instead of 18-inch. The $2,495 Sun and Sound Package adds a glass roof and an Alpine sound system, while the R/T and Scat Pack have their own specific option packages.
In terms of speed, the Scat Pack impresses, hitting 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, maxing out at 137 mph, and running a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds. Production of the two-door Charger will begin imminently, with the four-door Charger Daytona models expected to start rolling off the assembly line in the first half of next year. Meanwhile, the ICE Charger (yup, the gasoline Charger is still alive, for now), featuring Stellantis’ new twin-turbo straight-six, will begin production in the second half of 2025.
