Madinet Masr (EGX code: MASR.CA) announced the award of new construction works for Origami in Taj City to several specialized contractors, with a total value of approximately EGP 1.38 billion. The contracts form part of the company’s ongoing construction program and reflect its continued progress in executing its development plans across its portfolio in line with targeted project timelines. Madinet Masr aims to award construction contracts worth approximately EGP 18 billion during 2026, of which approximately EGP 9.8 billion has been awarded to date, reflecting the company’s continued progress in executing its development plans across its project portfolio.
Origami features a diverse range of villas, twin houses, and townhouses, with unit areas ranging from 152 to 606 square meters, providing a variety of options to meet the needs of customers seeking residential units with different sizes and designs within one of the company’s key projects. The total built-up area of the buildings covered by the awarded works amounts to approximately 78,760 square meters, distributed across 271 buildings within the project. Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of “Origami,”, the project is characterized by modern white architecture designed to appeal to a wide range of tastes, combining distinctive clean lines and simple forms that create a contemporary architectural identity.
