Empowering Emirati Women: Bridging the Gap Across Industries

Jannah Hotels & Resorts marked a memorable Emirati Women’s Day with an inspiring panel discussion under the theme “Empowering Emirati Women: Bridging the Gap Across Industries.” The event held at Jannah Burj Al Sarab on August 19, brought together influential Emirati women from diverse fields to share their stories, insights, and visions for the future.

The distinguished panel featured Azza Al Megheiri, Mariam Al Blooshi, Muna Al Mansoori, Reem Jneibi, and Dr. Noura Al Mansoori. These women emphasized the significance of female leadership in driving societal change and highlighted the impact of women-led initiatives across various sectors.

The event commenced with a focus on breaking barriers, where the panelists highlighted their stories of success and resilience, shedding light on how they overcame gender stereotypes and cultural expectations. Dr. Noura Al Mansoori remarked, “Define your goals and establish boundaries that no one can break. Stay confident in your desires and ignore any negative comments that could hold you back.”

The discussion also delved into crucial topics such as women’s health, professional growth, and the importance of preserving Emirati culinary heritage. Chef Muna Al Mansoori remarked, “Seizing opportunities across various fields today while preserving our culture and tradition is essential. We must pass our knowledge to future generations, ensuring opportunities continue to expand.”

In addition, influencer Azza Al Megheiri discussed digital empowerment and the role of social media in amplifying Emirati women’s voices. She shared, “When I started on social media, I faced negativity, but I focused on breaking stereotypes about Emirati women. Now, I block every negative comment, concentrating on my mission to inspire.”

While, Mariam Al Blooshi, a sports enthusiast, captivated the audience with her insights on community and inclusivity, highlighting how sports can foster engagement and unity. She revealed her plans to merge AI and technology with sports, creating an innovative approach to physical fitness.

Lastly, Reem Jneibi, a CEO, highlighted the unique challenges faced by women in reaching executive roles. She noted, “Data is key in making intelligent decisions. By piercing data together, companies can create a clearer picture and take more informed actions.”

During the event, Asma took on the important role of moderator, skillfully guiding two successful panel discussions among the distinguished Emirati women. With her expertise and leadership, she facilitated insightful conversations that resonated with both the panelists and the audience.

Asma also shared her personal journey in the banking sector, offering a candid look at the challenges she faced and the strategies she employed to overcome them. She spoke passionately about her experiences, highlighting the milestones she achieved throughout her career. Her story was a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of perseverance, inspiring all those present to strive for success in their own fields.

The event concluded with a coffee break and networking session, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with the speakers and each other, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
