Under the global slogan “Life’s Good,” and in collaboration with Misr El Kheir Foundation, LG Egypt has donated a number of its latest electrical appliance to “Ro’yaa Center for Visual Impairment” in Sohag. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to providing both financial and moral support to underprivileged groups and ensuring a dignified quality of life for all members of society across Egypt.
The vision Center offers services to visually impaired individuals aged four and above in Upper Egypt across various fields, including education, training, integration, accessibility, and community rehabilitation. The center also supports those who interact with visually impaired individuals, including parents, institutions, associations, special education teachers, inclusive school teachers, and college students specializing in special education and visual impairment. This includes preparing specialized trainers in visual impairment, such as Braille and computer instructors, as well as training in designing and producing educational and recreational games and tools for the visually impaired, and providing essential support for parents in dealing with their visually impaired children by teaching them Braille and other necessary skills.
The donation from LG aligns with the company’s strategy to genuinely embody its global motto “Life’s Good” and in accordance with the existing memorandum of understanding between the company and Misr El Kheir Foundation. Under this agreement, LG participates in various corporate social responsibility initiatives and provides in-kind donations to institutions and associations affiliated with Misr El Kheir in multiple areas, aiming to enhance the services provided by these institutions and offer community support to deserving groups.
In this context, Mohamed El-Gadawy, corporate Marketing and Public Relations Director at LG Egypt, stated, “The in-kind donations provided by LG to the vision Center for People with Disabilities are a testament to our full commitment to supporting institutions affiliated with Misr El Kheir and our effort to make a real impact and bring about positive change in the lives of deserving groups, including those with visual impairments. The true meaning of the slogan ‘Life’s Good’ lies in contributing to building a better Egyptian society and creating equal opportunities for all its members.”
Moreover, Mr. Magdy Moharam, Head of the Life Aspects Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, noted that the foundation provides financial support to the vision Center for People with Disabilities in line with its vision of building capacities and achieving human dignity. This also aligns with the foundation’s strategic goal of enhancing integration and accessibility for people with disabilities as a fundamental component of building an inclusive society through cultivating cultural values that respect diversity and differences, enabling individuals to effect positive change.
