Americana Restaurants Egypt opens a new Pizza Hut branch in Miami district in Alexandria fully operated by employees with hearing and speech impairments. The opening comes as part of the joint “Opportunity4All” initiative with Pizza Hut, a program that aims to create meaningful job opportunities for People of Determination in Egypt. The team at the new branch has undergone extensive training in food preparation, customer service, and hospitality to ensure smooth operations and effective day-to-day interactions with customers.
As part of its commitment to create an inclusive environment, Americana Restaurants Egypt introduced the “Sign & Smile” card. This card is an interactive tool designed to help customers learn basic sign language phrases to place orders and engage with the employees. More than just a tool, the card creates a communication bridge, reflecting the company’s vision of building an inclusive community.
On the sidelines of the opening, Americana Restaurants Egypt and the Directorate of Manpower in Alexandria signed a cooperation protocol aimed at qualifying, training, and employing youth with impairments in the food and hospitality sector. The agreement was signed by Eng. Mohamed Kamal Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Director of the Directorate of Manpower in Alexandria, Mohamed Hassan, Finance Senior Director of Americana Restaurants Egypt. The signing was witnessed by Amarpal Sandhu, Chief Executive Officer of Americana Restaurants; Hesham Talaat, Country General Manager for Americana Restaurants in Egypt & Iraq and General Manager for Hardee’s in the Middle East; and Ayman El Araby, Director of Human Resources at Americana Restaurants Egypt. Under the protocol, the Directorate will provide candidates with the willingness and ability to work, while Americana will offer specialized training, job opportunities, and fair wages, ensuring successful integration into the workforce in line with international best practices.
Commenting on this milestone, Hesham Talaat, Country General Manager for Americana Restaurants in Egypt & Iraq and General Manager for Hardee’s in the Middle East, said: “We are proud to open our seventh restaurant branch across our brands and the second for Pizza Hut in Egypt fully operated by people of determination, a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to create an inclusive workplace. Our goal is to empower people of determination by providing meaningful job opportunities.”

Pizza Hut Miami branch joins six other locations across Egypt, all fully operated by people of determination. The company aims to expand and open two new branches of Pizza Hut, making the total number of stores fully operated by people of determination to nine.
It is worth mentioning that Americana Restaurants Egypt continues to support the local community through various initiatives in education, employment and sustainability, from dual education programs with universities and schools under the umbrella of “Education for all = Food for all” program.
