Huawei Accelerates Egypt’s Digital Transportation Future at TransMEA 2025

under the theme “Amplify Intelligent Transportation”, Huawei served as the Technology Partner of TransMEA 2025, held under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Through this partnership, Huawei reinforces its commitment to laying a digital and intelligent foundation for smart transportation and logistics by integrating sensing, connection, cloud, storage, and AI.
At TransMEA 2025, Huawei presented its latest technical advancements in smart transportation. The company showcased how its intelligent infrastructure and ICT solutions are helping transform Egypt’s transportation systems, including roads, railways, and ports. By enabling remote, automated management, Huawei is improving the connection of people, vehicles, and goods. This participation highlights Huawei’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s national development goals by enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability across all modes of transport.
Benjamin Hou, CEO of Huawei Egypt, said: “As we celebrate Huawei’s 25th anniversary in Egypt, we reaffirm our commitment to our vision ‘In Egypt, For Egypt.’ For years, Huawei has been proud to stand alongside Egypt as a trusted partner, driving the digital transformation in all sectors including, transportation and industrial sectors. Our participation in TransMEA 2025 marks another milestone in this ongoing collaboration — showcasing our latest intelligent infrastructure solutions designed to accelerate Egypt’s digital mobility vision. Together with our partners, we are building the digital foundations of an intelligent era — one that enhances safety, efficiency, and sustainability, and fuels inclusive national growth.”
Jo Xu, CEO of Huawei Cloud Egypt, emphasized Huawei’s growing role in the sector, adding: “Huawei Cloud is a key driver of digital transformation across industries. In transportation, our integrated cloud and AI platforms are redefining how systems operate — enabling data-driven efficiency, smarter operations, and a more connected future that aligns with Egypt’s digital transformation strategy.”
In road and traffic systems, Huawei applies artificial intelligence to enhance traffic management, optimize capacity in real time, and strengthen road safety through data-driven vehicle supervision. These innovations are helping Egypt build smarter, safer, and more sustainable mobility networks that meet the growing demands of urban transportation.
In railways, through next-generation connectivity, high-speed broadband networks, and unified cloud-based architectures, Huawei enables more efficient railway operations, smarter stations, and improved passenger experiences. By integrating AI and cloud technologies, the company is helping ensure safer, more reliable, and more sustainable railway systems that support Egypt’s long-term mobility goals.
In the ports and logistics sector, Huawei continues to advance the efficiency and sustainability of operations through its intelligent port management and logistics optimization platforms. These digital solutions enhance productivity, enable end-to-end visibility, and facilitate real-time collaboration between ports, highways, and railways—creating a connected and dynamic logistics ecosystem that supports green economic growth.
As part of the TransMEA conference, Huawei took part in two high-impact panel discussions. Mr. Kareem Tarek, Transportation CTO at Huawei Egypt Transport BU, participated in a session titled “AI Security in Transport & Logistics: Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Evolving Threats.” While, Mr. Shi Lingxiao, Director of the Transport Department at Huawei Egypt, joined the panel “Connectivity to Criticality: How 5G Technology is Re-engineering Egypt’s Future-Ready Transportation Backbone.” These discussions underscored Huawei’s ongoing efforts to enhance the resilience, intelligence, and security of Egypt’s critical transportation infrastructure through advanced technologies such as 5G, cloud, and AI.
Aligned with the national Digital Egypt vision, Huawei continues to collaborate with public and private partners to deliver intelligent, end-to-end digital infrastructure that accelerates industrial intelligence, strengthens national competitiveness, and advances sustainable development—reaffirming its long-term commitment to powering Egypt’s smart mobility future and building a more connected, intelligent nation.
