For travellers seeking space, privacy and a moment to reset, Velaa Private Island offers the perfect excuse to switch off, slow down and escape to one of the Maldives’ most exclusive private island settings.

Located in the pristine Noonu Atoll, Velaa Private Island has been thoughtfully designed as a sanctuary of understated luxury. Surrounded by white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, the resort offers a secluded environment where guests can experience the natural beauty and tranquility of the Indian Ocean.

Accommodation at Velaa is designed to prioritise privacy and comfort, making it ideal for couples, families and groups alike. The resort’s collection of private villas and expansive residences, many featuring private pools and uninterrupted ocean views, range from overwater retreats suspended above the lagoon to beachfront homes set along powder-soft sand. For larger groups, the island’s spacious four-bedroom residences offer an exceptional setting to spend time together, including the recently reimagined Kuredhi Residence by Winch Design, which combines contemporary design with generous indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Central to the Velaa experience is its holistic approach to wellbeing. Guests can retreat to the island’s renowned Velaa Spa, an overwater sanctuary offering personalised treatments and restorative therapies designed to restore balance to both body and mind. Shaped like a turtle when viewed from above, the island itself reflects the resort’s deep connection to nature and sense of tranquillity.

For those looking to embrace a restorative stay, Velaa offers a range of wellness-focused experiences, from sunrise yoga and guided meditation to bespoke fitness programmes. Each activity is thoughtfully curated to encourage guests to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy a renewed sense of wellbeing.

Dining at Velaa is equally considered, with a selection of refined restaurants offering menus inspired by global flavours and the finest ingredients. Whether enjoying a quiet dinner overlooking the lagoon or a private beachside meal beneath the stars, each culinary experience reflects the resort’s commitment to exceptional service and thoughtful detail.

With its unique blend of privacy, design-led luxury and restorative wellness experiences, Velaa Private Island offers a refined setting for travellers looking to escape to a place defined by calm, space and natural beauty.
