Foundever Reaffirms Egypt Expansion Plans with New Investments in AI and CX Operations

Foundever®, the next-generation global leader in customer experience (CX), announced today the outcomes of a high-level strategic meeting with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), reaffirming the company’s long-term commitment to Egypt’s digital economy ambitions and continued expansion across the country.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Eng. Raafat Hendy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Ahmed El zaher, CEO of ITIDA, Eng. Mahmoud Sofrata, VP of ITIDA alongside senior representatives from MCIT and ITIDA.

Foundever was represented by Ms. Benedita Miranda, COO EMEA, Mr. Vitor Silva, VP of Operations, and Mr. Mina Wahba, Country Leader of Foundever in Egypt. The meeting also served as an important introductory occasion between Foundever’s leadership and the Minister, further strengthening the company’s long-standing partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology following the recently signed MoU.

The discussions focused on Foundever’s rapid growth in Egypt and its role in supporting the country’s vision to become a leading global hub for offshoring, customer experience delivery, multilingual services, digital innovation, and AI-enabled operations. This engagement builds on the MoU previously signed with Egypt’s ITIDA, which laid the foundation for Foundever’s accelerated growth and deepened institutional cooperation in Egypt.

During the meeting, H.E. Eng. Raafat Hindy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, highlighted the government’s strong commitment to enabling multinational expansion through continuous investment in digital talent development, supportive policies, and advanced infrastructure, while actively promoting expansion beyond Cairo to tap into new talent pools nationwide. ITIDA leadership reaffirmed that Foundever remains a strategic ally and important partner in Egypt’s national strategy to position the country as a premier destination for IT offshore and business services.

Foundever highlighted that its workforce in Egypt has now reached 2,700 employees across its operations in Maadi, Nasr City, and Luxor, reflecting the company’s accelerated expansion and confidence in Egyptian talent.

As part of its next growth phase, Foundever confirmed plans to reach 1,000 employees in Luxor by next quarter, reinforcing its commitment to creating employment opportunities in Upper Egypt and supporting regional development beyond Cairo. The company also announced a major expansion into Giza through a new operational hub, further strengthening Egypt’s position within Foundever’s global delivery network.

Ms. Benedita Miranda, COO EMEA at Foundever, highlighted the company’s transformation from a traditional BPO provider into a technology-enabled and people-led CX company powered by AI, automation, analytics, and digital innovation.

“Egypt continues to stand out as one of the strongest delivery hubs globally thanks to its exceptional talent, multilingual capabilities, and customer-centric culture,” said Miranda. “What truly differentiates Egypt is the soft skills of its people. Combined with strong language capabilities, Egypt has become one of the best delivery hubs in the world from a customer experience perspective.”

Benedita Miranda also highlighted Foundever’s growing investments in AI and technology, including its AI Center of Excellence in Barcelona, which already includes Egyptian AI developers supporting global innovation initiatives. The company additionally shared updates on the upcoming launch of AgentTech AI, Foundever’s proprietary AI-powered platform designed to enhance operational performance and customer engagement.

The meeting also covered Foundever’s collaboration on the Train to Hire initiative with ITIDA, alongside the company’s Language Academy in Cairo and Luxor, which supports candidates in strengthening language capabilities, developing customer experience skills, and becoming qualified for employment opportunities within the outsourcing and offshoring industry. Complementing these efforts, Foundever also highlighted the Freelance Mama program, a CSR initiative that has successfully graduated more than 250 mothers, equipping them with digital and freelance skills to pursue flexible work opportunities, a testament to the company’s commitment to inclusive economic empowerment and community impact across Egypt.

Engineer Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, commented:”Foundever’s continued expansion demonstrates the growing confidence of global companies in Egypt’s Offshoring ecosystem and highly skilled workforce. These investments directly support Egypt’s vision of becoming a global leader in digital services and offshoring industry.” Elzaher reaffirmed ITIDA’s continued efforts to attract foreign investment in the outsourcing sector and support its growth through targeted training programs that meet global demand for specialized, multilingual talent.

Mr. Mina Wahba, Country Leader of Foundever in Egypt, added: “Reaching 2,700 employees is a major milestone for Foundever in Egypt. With our Luxor growth plans, Giza expansion, and continued investments in AI-enabled operations, we remain committed to investing in Egyptian talent and contributing to the continued growth of Egypt’s ICT sector.”
