Tanmeyah, a subsidiary of EFG Finance, an EFG Holding company, and a provider of innovative, integrated financial solutions for micro and small business owners and entrepreneurs, announces that it has been awarded the Gold-level Client Protection Certification from MicroFinanza under the CERISE+SPTF standards. This initiative, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Egyptian Federation for Financing Medium, Small and Micro Projects, recognizes its commitment to responsible finance and places client protection at the heart of its operations.
The certification marks a significant milestone in Tanmeyah’s journey to strengthen and embed client protection practices across the organization. Through the process, Tanmeyah assessed and enhanced its policies, procedures, and practices, incorporating recommendations to further strengthen its microfinance services and ensure that client needs, rights, and welfare remain at the center of its business.
The Certification covered key areas including appropriate product design and delivery, prevention of over-indebtedness, transparency and responsible pricing, fair and respectful treatment, privacy and data protection, complaints resolution, and the integration of client protection principles across governance and human resources.
