Chevrolet Optra Makes a Bold Entrance in Egypt with Cutting-Edge Features and Exceptional Value from Mansour Automotive

Mansour Automotive, the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet in Egypt, has announced the launch of the all-new Chevrolet Optra 2025 in the Egyptian market. This reflects the company’s commitment to delivering the latest innovations in the automotive industry. It aligns with the company’s strategy to provide a diverse range of vehicles tailored to the needs of the Egyptian market, which continues to see growing demand for high-performance, high-quality cars.

Underscoring Egypt’s role as a regional automotive hub, the new Optra results from a fruitful collaboration between Mansour Automotive and General Motors. The latest launch is part of Mansour’s strategy to expand its portfolio of advanced vehicles while supporting the local economy by enhancing domestic automotive manufacturing.

“We are thrilled to introduce the all-new Chevrolet Optra to the Egyptian market. This car represents a significant milestone in our journey to offer world-class products that meet the needs and aspirations of our customers in Egypt,” remarked Ankush Arora, CEO of Mansour Automotive, at the launch event held at Tanza in 6th of October City. “Chevrolet have succeeded in producing a car specifically designed to meet the local market’s needs with the continuous support of the Egyptian government and its efforts to create an environment conducive to automotive industry development. We remain committed to delivering innovative vehicles, and we are confident that the new Chevrolet Optra will resonate strongly with our customers in Egypt.”

Sharon Nishi, Chairwoman and Managing Director of General Motors Egypt and Africa stated, “General Motors (GM) have invested over $20 million in GM Egypt to enhance our local manufacturing capabilities by integrating new equipment and technologies, which aligns with Egypt’s vision to develop the local automotive industry. This includes innovative error-reduction systems to support our new passenger vehicle program, ensuring enhanced safety and quality.”

The all-new Chevrolet Optra is a unique blend of balanced performance and modern design, offering an exceptional driving experience for Egyptian consumers. Its distinctive exterior design, including 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and tinted rear windows, not only provide privacy but also reduce heat accumulation within the cabin, a feature particularly beneficial in Egypt’s climate.

Under the hood, the Optra is powered by a 1.5-litre engine delivering a maximum output of 98 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and a torque of 140 Nm at 3,400–4,400 rpm. The vehicle’s fuel-efficient CVT automatic transmission with an 8-speed simulation makes it an economical choice for consumers seeking to reduce operational costs, a key consideration for many in the current economic climate.

The Optra boasts electric side mirror controls and LED daytime running lights for enhanced safety and contemporary style. It has halogen projector headlamps and front and rear fog lamps to ensure optimal visibility in various driving conditions. Additional features include welcome and home-following lights for convenience and safety, dual exhaust embellishments, and chrome accents on the front and rear, giving the car a sporty aesthetic. The LED tail lamps, and shark-fin antenna further enhance its modern appeal.

The car’s dimensions offer a balanced design: it is 4,490 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, and 1,490 mm high. With a ground clearance of 125 mm and a wheelbase of 2,550 mm, the Optra ensures stability and a spacious interior. The trunk boasts a capacity of 475 litres, expandable to 910 litres with foldable rear seats, making it perfect for long trips and extra luggage.

The Optra’s interior is meticulously designed to deliver comfort and luxury. A dual-tone black and gray cabin includes manually adjustable front seats and 60/40 split-folding rear seats for enhanced luggage space. The 8-inch display supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is accompanied by a premium sound system. A multifunctional steering wheel, electronically assisted steering, rear camera, and parking sensors add convenience. Front and rear USB ports, electronic climate control, and remote window operation ensure passengers enjoy a seamless experience.

The all-new Optra is equipped with advanced safety systems, including dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control (TC) ensure superior stability across various terrains and weather conditions. The Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) enables rapid emergency braking, enhancing road safety. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) helps maintain optimal tire pressure, and ISOFIX anchors protect child seats, providing peace of mind for both the driver and passengers.

The Optra comes with a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty whichever comes first, offering peace of mind throughout ownership. Its maintenance costs are among the most competitive in its class, making it a practical and cost-effective choice for families and individuals seeking reliable and efficient vehicles.

The launch of the all-new Chevrolet Optra reflects Mansour Automotive’s dedication to meeting the needs of diverse segments of Egyptian society. By offering a car that combines robust performance, modern design, and global standards, the company continues strengthening its position in the Egyptian and regional markets through innovative products that align with customer aspirations.
