Sokhna, Egypt – 5 September 2025: DP World has successfully received and handled a giant 30 meter long Ammonia Converter weighing more than 500 tons at Sokhna Port.
The shipment highlights Sokhna Port’s ability to handle complex cargo of exceptional scale, reinforcing its role as the primary gateway to the Red Sea and a vital logistics hub supporting trade and industry in Egypt and the region.
DP World worked closely with the vessel agent Dominion Shipping Agencies (Egypt) and the transportation company EWA Group ahead of the vessel’s arrival to proactively prepare the route, ensuring the safe, efficient and direct transfer of the cargo without disruption.
