Huawei has launched its annual Developer Competition 2025 for Northern Africa, aimed at inspiring developers and students to craft innovative solutions for real-world challenges. The competition is designed to promote the growth of a robust, open cloud ecosystem.
Held under the theme of “Spark Infinity”, this year’s edition, organized in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), and the Information Technology Institute (ITI), is now open for registration, with the deadline set for November 8, 2025.
Building on the success of last year’s edition, the competition reinforces Huawei’s mission to accelerate digital transformation, nurture talent, and unlock new opportunities for innovation. By opening access to cutting-edge cloud and AI capabilities, Huawei is equipping developers with the infrastructure and expertise needed to shape the future of digital innovation.
This year, the competition offers expanded opportunities for developers, startups, and students to transform their ideas into real-world applications. Participants will gain access to Huawei’s advanced tools, technical resources, and APIs, empowering them to design, build, and scale their solutions quickly and efficiently. The expertise and support of partners ITIDA, NTI, and ITI will enrich this edition by providing industry knowledge, training capabilities, ecosystem connections, and an enabling work environment—leaving a tangible impact on participants’ experience and outcomes.
Jo Xu, CEO of Huawei Cloud Egypt, commented: “The Huawei Developer Competition was born from our belief that the best way to empower young talent is to give them both the tools and the stage to innovate. We created this platform to equip developers with cutting-edge skills and technologies, while giving them the opportunity to transform ideas into impactful solutions. For Huawei, this competition is more than an event—it is our way of investing in the next generation of innovators.”
Since its inception, the Huawei Developer Competition has become a key platform for knowledge-sharing and innovation, bringing together startups, enterprises, students, and independent developers to showcase talent and collaborate globally.
Registration is now open for individuals or teams of up to five through Huawei’s website. The competition will unfold in multiple stages: training sessions in October, project submissions, online preliminaries and semifinals in November, and the grand finals in December.
