Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK–Egypt) has successfully obtained the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification V4.0.1, a globally recognized benchmark for ensuring the highest standards in payment cards data protection. The Bank was certified after successfully passing audit processes that included a comprehensive review of the Bank’s systems and technical procedures for processing electronic payment cards data.

This milestone reaffirms ABK-Egypt’s commitment to the regulations of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and its ongoing efforts to implement international standards for securing payment card transactions and protecting sensitive customer data against fraud and breaches.
This recent accreditation is a proof of the Bank’s strategy to implement the highest standards and controls for information security and its ability to protect customer data and assets, moreover, this accreditation plays a pivotal role in building trust in the Bank within the Egyptian banking sector through offering innovative banking products and services while ensuring all controls are set to assess data management and cybersecurity risks related to technology breach and provide customers with a highly secure banking experience.
