DP World – Egypt, operator of Sokhna Port under the Suez Canal Economic Zone, welcomed Her Excellency Herro Mustafa Garg, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, together with a distinguished delegation of senior executives from leading American multinational companies specializing in infrastructure, technology, and logistics. The high-profile visit was part of an extensive tour of the Economic Zone aimed at exploring promising investment opportunities in maritime transport, logistics and related service sectors.
During the visit, Sokhna Port’s leadership showcased the port’s strategic role as the southern gateway to the Suez Canal and one of the most pivotal hubs in the Middle East and Africa. The port provides comprehensive services that connect global and regional markets, backed by world-class infrastructure, state-of-the-art terminals, and advanced digital and technological systems.
DP World emphasized that Sokhna Port is a model of public-private partnership, attracting significant foreign and domestic investments, while generating thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. The port plays a vital role in boosting trade flows and advancing Egypt’s strategy to position the Suez Canal Economic Zone as a world-class hub for trade and logistics.
