H.E. Josef Koutsky, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the United Arab Emirates, hosted a reception last night to mark his country’s Independence Day, celebrating the deepening ties between the two nations.
The event, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Omar Al Neyadi, Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ,members of the Czech government, representatives of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, business leaders, and members of the Czech community residing in the UAE.
In his address, Ambassador Josef Koutsky praised the strong and enduring partnership between the Czech Republic and the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing the commitment of both leaderships to further advance their strategic cooperation across all fields.
Highlighting the space sector as a key area of collaboration, the ambassador noted the positive and ongoing cooperation between Czech institutions and both the UAE Space Agency and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre. He stated that the Department of Space Activities at the Czech Ministry of Transport, along with several leading Czech companies in the aerospace industry, are actively working to enhance partnerships with specialized Emirati organizations and explore new opportunities within the UAE’s rapidly growing space ecosystem.
“These joint efforts reflect our shared vision for progress and innovation in space exploration,” Ambassador . Josef Koutsky said. “By combining our scientific expertise and technological capabilities, we are contributing to the advancement of the space industries in both our countries.”
Ambassador Josef Koutsky also underscored the steady growth of economic relations between the Czech Republic and the UAE, noting that the Emirates is now one of the Czech Republic’s largest economic partners in the region.
