Ideal Standard, a leading innovator in bathroom design and manufacture, is broadening its extensive brassware portfolio with slimmer, more sustainable variations of two hugely popular taps.
Building upon the success of the Ceraline and Cerafine O fittings, the Nuovo ranges offer a more minimalist alternative to the original ranges, with slimmer profiles and more modern features, while still preserving the elegant lines of the original taps. They also come with strong sustainability credentials in their manufacture and operation, including a host of Ideal Standard’s proprietary technologies.
The Ceraline Nuovo and Cerafine O Nuovo collections feature basin and bidet mixer taps which boast a sleek, contemporary design, with traditional chrome and bold silk black finishes offering outstanding flexibility in bathroom design.
Key features of the taps include a slim, elegant body with refined detailing and ergonomic lever designs, with a pin-shaped lever for Ceraline Nuovo and a slim lever for Cerafine O Nuovo. Both ranges are highly versatile, including rim-mounted and wall-mounted options and spout heights from 65mm to 250mm.
Ceraline Nuovo is a fully cylindrical tap with soft, curved lines and slender, organic shapes which give it a distinctive light and elegant look. Cerafine O Nuovo features a slightly bolder design, however, with flat surfaces and rounded geometrical shapes.
The new fittings have been created in line with Ideal Standard’s EcoLogic approach to new product development, meeting the growing demand for more sustainable bathroom solutions. Both ranges feature EcoFlow regulators, with a flow rate of only 3.8 l/min, reducing water consumption by 30% compared to traditional 5 l/min mixer taps while maintaining a comfortable feel and effective washing.
BlueStart® technology means that cold water flows when the taps are turned on at the mid-lever position, which is the way most people operate fittings, and is usually sufficient for washing hands, brushing teeth and cleaning. This cuts energy consumption by up to 70%, reducing water and energy consumption, and saving money too.
The slimmer design of both Ceraline Nuovo and Cerafine O Nuovo means they have a reduced environmental footprint through the use of 20% less raw material than the original Ceraline and Cerafine O fittings. All products in the range come in packaging that is free from plastic bags, printed with water-based ink, and fully recyclable. They also feature Ideal Standard’s industry-leading FirmaFlow® cartridge, ensuring durability and longevity over more than 500,000 use cycles.
