Silicon Waha Launches the Fifth Edition of “Waha Connect” at New Beni Suef Technology Park

Silicon Waha for Technology Parks today launched the fifth edition of “Waha Connect” at New Beni Suef Technology Park, with wide participation from university students and contact center professionals, alongside leading outsourcing industry executives, technology experts, government representatives, and entrepreneurs. The event reflects the growing role of governorates in shaping Egypt’s digital economy.
This edition comes as a continuation of Silicon Waha’s efforts to promote innovation beyond capital cities by creating interactive platforms that connect emerging talent with market needs. It also supports the transformation of the outsourcing sector from cost-driven models to value- and knowledge-based ecosystems, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence.
“Waha Connect” aims to build effective bridges between emerging talent and industry leaders through specialized panel discussions that highlight the future of outsourcing in the age of artificial intelligence, as well as mechanisms for talent development across governorates. The event contributes to transforming local potential into real economic opportunities and strengthening Egypt’s competitiveness as a regional hub for digital services.
Strengthening the Role of Technology Parks in Driving Digital Transformation
Mr. Hashem Mansy, CEO of Silicon Waha, stated that the fifth edition of “Waha Connect” reflects the company’s commitment to supporting a qualitative shift in the outsourcing industry:
“At Silicon Waha, we believe that the future of outsourcing is being reshaped today by artificial intelligence. The focus is no longer solely on cost reduction, but rather on creating real value through human talent and knowledge-based services. Through Waha Connect, we continue to empower talent across different governorates and transform it into a productive economic force. The platform brings together industry leaders, experts, and the next generation, opening new horizons for collaboration, investment, and expansion into promising markets.
We also believe that developing talent outside capital cities is no longer limited to the outsourcing sector alone; it has become a key pillar for the growth of the ICT industry as a whole. Providing opportunities in areas such as software development, digital solutions design, and advanced technological industries contributes to building an integrated ecosystem capable of innovation and productivity. This strengthens Egypt’s ability to compete regionally and globally. In this context, Waha Connect plays a vital role in connecting local talent with real opportunities across various ICT fields and encouraging investment in human capital as the main driver of the digital economy.”
Expert Panels Address the Future of Outsourcing and Talent Development
The event featured two main panel discussions. The first, titled “The Future of Outsourcing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” included Ms. Shaimaa Abdel Aziz, Founder and CEO of GoChat247; Mr. Saeed Riyad, CEO of Sky CX; Mr. Mahmoud Salama, Operations Manager at Aura Communication; and Mr. Khaled Nemr, Head of Administration and Facilities Management atiSon Xperiences. The second panel, titled “Building Talent Beyond Capital Cities,” featured Dr. Sherif Kamel, Industrial Control Program Coordinator at the Egyptian Korean Faculty of Technological Industry and Energy – Beni Suef Technological University; Dr. Ibrahim Sabbaq, Founder and Chairman of Sabbaq for Digital Transformation and Business Development; Eng. Ahmed Alaa, Senior Projects Engineer at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA); and Ms. Heba Azmy, Programs Specialist at ITIDA. The panel highlighted ways to develop skills, align education outputs with labor market needs, and empower local talent to achieve sustainable economic growth.
A Platform Connecting Dialogue with Practical Impact
The event agenda included a series of interactive activities, including opening sessions, panel discussions, and networking breaks, in addition to the “Impact for Tech” hackathon organized in collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Creativa Innovation Hubs. The hackathon aimed to stimulate innovation and provide practical, scalable technological solutions that serve society and the economy.
The event also witnessed active participation from partner entities. ITIDA participated as a strategic partner, supported by Creativa Innovation Hubs, with media partnership from the “Ta3heed” platform, as part of integrated efforts to support the growth of Egypt’s ICT sector.
Silicon Waha reaffirmed that “Waha Connect” continues to establish itself as a platform that bridges thought and application, contributing to transforming dialogue into real opportunities that support building a competitive digital economy based on innovation and knowledge, led by Egypt’s youth across all governorates.
