The event was organized by Internationalia and Africa e Affari in cooperation with Assolombarda and the Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce, bringing together a distinguished group of officials, diplomats, and representatives of leading economic and investment institutions from Egypt and Italy.

Nile Air’s sponsoring came as part of its support for Egypt’s efforts to strengthen its position as a regional hub connecting Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, while highlighting the pivotal role of the aviation sector in promoting trade, investment, and tourism between the two countries.

The conference was attended by several prominent figures, including Walid Othman, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Milan; Gianfranco Belgrano, Editorial Director of Africa e Affari magazine; Nader Kamel, Director General of Investment and Promotion at the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone; and Pietro Paolo Rambino, President of the Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce, alongside representatives of Italian economic and commercial institutions interested in enhancing cooperation with Egypt.

During the main session, titled “Italy and Egypt Increasingly Connected,” Nile Air presented the latest developments in air connectivity between Egypt and Italy through a speech delivered by Ahmed Oraby, Chief Commercial Officer of Nile Air, with the participation of Giacomo Paravisi, Marketing and Communications Representative of SACBO, the operator of Milan Bergamo Airport.

Nile Air expressed its appreciation to the conference organizers and partners, emphasizing that its participation reflects its role as an Egyptian carrier contributing to the strengthening of economic, tourism, and investment ties between Egypt and European markets.

The airline also highlighted the success of its Cairo–Milan Bergamo route since its launch on June 28, 2024, as Nile Air’s first direct connection to Northern Italy, meeting growing demand from travelers, tourists, business professionals, and the Egyptian and Italian communities.

Nile Air emphasized that air connectivity between Egypt and Italy represents a key pillar in supporting bilateral economic and trade relations, while also playing a vital role in stimulating tourism, facilitating the movement of investors and business leaders, and creating new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

The airline further praised the contribution of its strategic partner in the Italian market, Global GSA / GDSM Global GSA, Nile Air’s General Sales Agent for passenger services in Italy, for supporting sales activities, serving travel agencies and tour operators, and strengthening the airline’s commercial presence across the Italian market.

Nile Air concluded its participation by reaffirming its commitment to implementing its expansion plans, developing its international route network, and strengthening its presence in European markets. These efforts support Egypt’s position as a regional hub for aviation, tourism, and business, while contributing to national objectives aimed at increasing tourism and investment flows and enhancing air connectivity with international markets.
