“Contact Financial Holding and Safe Egypt Launch Strategic Partnership to Empower Women and Promote Responsible Digital Financing for Financial Inclusion”

In line with its strategic vision to strengthen CSR and deliver sustainable developmental impact that supports economic and social empowerment while promoting responsible financing across diverse segments of society, Contact Financial Holding, the leading non-banking financial services provider, announced the signing of a strategic partnership with “Safe Egypt” to launch an integrated community program aimed at empowering women most in need and equipping them with the tools and opportunities required to build more stable and resilient lives for themselves and their families. This initiative reinforces Contact’s role as a true development partner that goes beyond the provision of financial solutions to investing in human capital development, by raising awareness of sustainable financing practices and highlighting the role of digital transformation in enabling and advancing financial inclusion.

In its first phase, the program targets supporting 100 women through a comprehensive, multi-pillar framework that combines psychological and social support, preventive awareness and education, and a strong focus on practical economic empowerment. The program also seeks to enhance women’s financial literacy, improve their understanding of financial tools, and promote optimal resource utilization through advanced digital systems, contributing to improved household living standards and fostering awareness among future generations. This approach aims to create a sustainable development pathway that strengthens participants’ long-term integration into the labor market and society.

The initiative is built on an integrated operating model that begins with a psychological well-being and emotional balance pillar, through the integration of Safe Egypt’s “Elephant Program”, which focuses on enhancing self-awareness and addressing psychological pressures faced by women through specialized sessions and interactive activities designed to build confident, decision-making individuals. This pillar is complemented by a domestic violence awareness and safety guidance component, which provides practical tools to address domestic violence, which is recognized as a primary barrier to economic stability, while outlining available protection and support pathways in line with national best practices.

In this context, John Saad, Group CEO of Contact Financial Holding, stated: “At Contact Financial Holding, we believe that sustainable economic development begins with people and cannot be separated from the social and psychological well-being of communities. Our partnership with Safe Egypt reflects our conviction that the NBFI has a genuine developmental role to play that contributes to building more resilient and growth-oriented societies. As an integrated, diversified ecosystem, our role extends beyond delivering innovative financial services to supporting comprehensive empowerment frameworks that raise family awareness of the importance of digital transformation and the use of advanced technologies to empower Egyptian women, transforming their potential into sustainable economic and social value. This, in turn, strengthens social cohesion, supports family stability, and drives the economy toward a more inclusive and sustainable growth path.”

Sarah Aziz, Founder and CEO of Safe Egypt, stated: “At Safe Egypt, we believe that true empowerment of women comes from addressing multiple dimensions. Through the Elephant Program, which provides psychological and emotional support alongside protection against various forms of violence, women gain inner strength and the skills to rely on themselves across all areas of life. Our collaboration with Contact enables us to provide practical, digital, and financial solutions while enhancing women’s overall well-being, allowing them to confidently progress from one stage to the next.”

For her part, Safeya Borhan, Chief Legal, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer at Contact Financial Holding, stated: “From day one, we at Contact have firmly believed in the vital role of women in shaping the economy and culture of societies. We also recognize that today’s child is tomorrow’s leader, and that psychological and emotional family stability underpins economic stability. This is where our objectives aligned with Safe Egypt, an organization that has believed in women and children since its inception and has had a profound impact on our community. We are deeply proud of this partnership, which reflects a shared commitment to women’s empowerment from a comprehensive development perspective that prioritizes financial literacy, digital transformation, optimal resource utilization, and the effective application of financial technology to empower women and safeguard their financial and psychological rights. Through a joint team from Safe Egypt and Contact, the program ensures a secure empowerment journey that begins with restoring self-confidence and culminates in financial independence. By deploying our specialized teams to train women entrepreneurs, we transfer real market expertise directly to those who need it most, reaffirming our belief that empowerment is the most impactful investment in the future of society.”

Building on this comprehensive development approach, Contact Financial Holding and Safe Egypt affirm that this collaboration represents the cornerstone of a broader series of development initiatives aimed at transforming social challenges into inspiring economic opportunities.
